Everyone needs something to do on a Friday night. Why not go to the movies? Friday Night Movies at the Hayner Center feature classic movies with café style seating, popcorn and soda. All films start at 7:00 PM and are free and open to the public.

Earthquake is a 1974 American action thriller directed and produced by Mark Robson. It’s all-star cast includes Charlton Heston, Ava Gardner, George Kennedy, Lorne Greene, Geneviève Bujold, Richard Roundtree, Marjoe Gortner, Barry Sullivan, Lloyd Nolan, Victoria Principal, and (under an alias) Walter Matthau. The film is significant for the use of a ground-breaking sound effect called Sensurround. It created the sense of experiencing an earthquake in theaters. Earthquake was a blockbuster success and was nominated for four Academy Awards. It won a Special Achievement Academy Award for Visual Effects. Earthquake is Rated PG.

Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is located at 301 West Main Street, Troy, OH 45373. Hours of operation are Monday 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Tuesday – Thursday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and Sunday
