MIAMI COUNTY, OHIO – Fish Fry Dinner season is upon us. Be sure to check out these delicious Friday meals that are continuing through March at Our Lady of Fatima Family of Parishes’ five churches: St. Patrick, St. Mary, St. Boniface, Church of the Transfiguration and St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus. These popular events are open to the public!
Lent is a 40-day period of spiritual reflection and growth ahead of Easter, including, for Catholics, the sacrifice of abstaining from meat on Fridays. This also comes with the opportunity to try the best fried and baked fish recipes in the area! Plan your tour around our towns this February and March.
Fish Fry dinners will be hosted at the following four locations within Our Lady of Fatima family of parishes’ properties:
PIQUA – St. Mary Catholic Church Fish Fry dinners are in the Piqua Catholic School North Street Campus cafeteria at 503 W. North Street. Here are the remaining dinners hosted by Family Life of St. Mary, 5:00-7:00 p.m.: February 27, March 6, 13, 20 and 27.
WEST MILTON – Church of the Transfiguration at 972 S. Miami Street will host a huge event on Friday, March 27, 6:00-9:00 PM with games of chance and “horse racing” in the Parish Hall. Stations of the Cross will be offered in the church at 6:30 p.m. for those interested.
TROY – St. Patrick Catholic Church (Crawford Street door undercroft/basement with ramp access) is at 409 E. Main Street. Fish Fry Dinners sponsored by the St. Pat’s Men’s Softball Team will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., February 27, March 13 and 27.
COVINGTON – St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus, 6925 US-36, will have dinners from 4:30-7 p.m. hosted by Knights of Columbus - Covington, February 27, March 13 and March 27.
