Chamber - Troy Development Council Leadership Transition Complete

Dear Chamber Members and TDC Investors, 

As we continue moving forward together, we want to take a moment to recognize an important milestone in the leadership of both the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and the Troy Development Council. 

On Friday, July 17, Michael Brendel will conclude his service as Interim President of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and Interim CEO of the Troy Development Council. 

When Michael accepted this interim leadership role, he stepped in during a time of transition and uncertainty. From day one, he brought steady leadership, thoughtful guidance, and a true commitment to serving both organizations. His experience, professionalism, and calm approach provided assurance and trust while our boards conducted the search for our next leader. 

Perhaps Michael's greatest accomplishment has been ensuring a seamless transition. Through careful planning, organization, and mentorship, he has positioned Paul Oberdorfer for success from his very first day. We are grateful that Michael has also offered to remain available as a trusted resource should Paul need guidance as he settles into his new role. 

This successful transition also reflects the dedication of our staff, board members, volunteers, and community leaders, who stayed focused on our shared mission throughout this period of change. Together, they demonstrated the strength, resilience, and collaborative spirit that define both the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and the Troy Development Council. 

We are equally pleased to share that Paul is off to an outstanding start. In a short time, he has been actively connecting with members, investors, community partners, volunteers, board members, and staff. His enthusiasm, collaborative leadership style, and passion for serving Troy and Miami County have already made a positive impression. He has embraced the opportunity to listen, learn, and build relationships, and we are excited about the future under his leadership. 

Transitions are rarely easy, but this one has been exceptional because of Michael's willingness to step forward when we needed him most. He left both organizations stronger, more organized, and well-positioned for continued success. His service during this important chapter will have a lasting impact, and we are sincerely thankful for the time, talent, and leadership he generously shared with our community. 

Please join us in thanking Michael for his extraordinary service and wishing him all the best as he returns to retirement. We also invite you to welcome Paul as he begins this exciting new chapter with the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce and the Troy Development Council.
