Lead Operator Position Summary:

This position is responsible for operating a machine to ensure efficient operation of equipment and production of high-quality products.

Third Shift: 10:00pm to 6:00am

Key Responsibilities:

• Work safely utilizing a working knowledge of LOTO, PPE, and other safe work practices.
• Perform general set-up of machine, load and unload material from machine.
• Set priorities to match the importance of job assignments.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams.
• Work with helper to maintain machine operations.
• Ensure that the machine is producing quality product by ensuring proper materials and machine settings are used.
• Ensure that all manufacturing instructions are carried out.
• Assist in working towards optimum productivity and waste reduction capabilities.
• Communicate with Manager on a daily basis on production runs when necessary.
• Assist in monitoring deviations in materials and running conditions.
• Adhere to all environmental, safety and housekeeping standards and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 lbs., Standing, sitting and squatting.

Education:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing and/ or machine operation.
• This role requires basic computer proficiencies, multi-task effectively, sharp attention to detail, a desire to work in a collaborative team atmosphere, and the ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
