Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Administrative and Program Assistant will handle customer service duties for the Chamber and the organizations it manages, including answering phone inquiries, managing calendars, scheduling meetings and managing general chamber and community inquiries. The position will assist President of TACC/CEO of Troy Development Council and Executive Director of TACC with meeting coordination, document preparation, communication with stakeholders, as well as event logistics coordination. The position may at times assist the entire team.

· Customer Service: Experience working with the public in several different capacities including but not limited to answering phones, greeting walk-in customers, working with sponsors, volunteers, and patrons.

· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with different people and populations in an effective way.
· Detail Oriented: All projects should be executed with extreme attention to detail.
· Maintain organizational records and databases: Knowledge of maintaining records within a database, organizational filing system.
· Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple events or projects at one time, while working within a timeline.
· Work with Others and Independently: Experience working independently on projects and working within a team to accomplish goals.
· Time Management: Ability to schedule and prioritize tasks, making appointments and completing projects.
· Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with discretion, ensuring compliance with company privacy policies and regulations.
· Tech Savy: Understanding current software programs (Microsoft 365-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Canva, Google).

Duties to be Performed:
· Answer Phone and direct call to correct person
· Warmly greet members, prospective members and those seeking community information
· Compile relocation packets
· Keep office supplies stocked and order, if needed
· Use phone and/or email to coordinate and schedule meetings or programs for President/Executive Director
· Assist in event set-up and teardown
· Other duties as assigned
Preferred Competencies/Skills for the Position:
· General Knowledge of the Community: Knowledge of Troy and Miami County – organizations, businesses, and local events.
· General Understanding of a Chamber of Commerce: Knowledge of the role of a Chamber of Commerce in the community.
· General Bookkeeping: Basic understanding of general bookkeeping procedures. (General knowledge of Quickbooks)
Work Environment:
Most duties will be performed in and from the Chamber’s office during regular business hours. At program and event peak times, the position may be required to cover hours outside the typical work week and work hours.
Time Commitment:
The position is an exempt part-time position. Part-time hours would traditionally be 10 am – 2 pm or 20 hours per week.
Salary:
$16-20/hour
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
