The Miami County Chambers' are pleased to announce the return of Made In Miami County.
Made in Miami County is a day to showcase exciting career pathways through hands on, inclusive activities. Local businesses will be able to interact with Miami County 8th graders while sharing a hands-on activity. This is your opportunity to spark interest in local careers and fill your future talent pipeline.
This program is in partnership with the Miami County Educational Service Center Business Advisory Council. All nine of the Miami County school districts have been invited to participate. We estimate that we will see 500+ eighth graders at the event.
The focus is on eighth-grade students, as they are of an age where they can understand the information shared by local employers, and it is before they start planning their coursework for high school. The more we expose young people to local companies, the more likely they will choose a Miami County company for future employment.
“Made in Miami County” is a hands-on learning opportunity designed to connect students to local companies and spark interest in careers. To participate, local companies MUST committee to providing an engaging activity for the students.
