Everyone needs something to do on a Friday night. Why not go to the movies? Friday Night Movies at the Hayner Center features classic movies with an introduction to the film, café style seating, popcorn, and soda. All films are free and open to the public. On Friday, February 2nd beginning at 7:00 pm, the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center will show the Rated PG film 'Ghostbusters'. The picture is an American sci-fi comedy that was directed and produced by Ivan Reitman. It was written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. The movie stars Bill Murray, Aykroyd and Ramis as eccentric parapsychologists who start a ghost-catching business in NYC. 'Ghostbusters' was released 40 years ago in 1984 and became a cultural sensation. It was the number-one film in theaters for seven consecutive weeks and one of only four films to earn more than $100 million that year.
