Flag Day - Saturday June 14, 2025 10 AM - 6 PM

For Children ages 7-16
Attendees will: Learn about Miami County Veterans from the Revolutionary War through today, see a Miami County Sheriff's tactical vehicle, see and ride in a WWII jeep and truck, do boot camp calisthenics, write thank you notes to active duty service members and first responders, learn about the history of the American flag and make one, learn flag folding, learn about the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and sign it themselves, see vintage military trucks and equipment.
This year we have a special guest, Miami County resident David Norman, who will share his experience as a Marine security guard, one of the last 11 to be evacuated by helicopter, from the roof of the Saigon American embassy, on the last day of the Vietnam Way, 50 years ago.
13016 year olds will help as camp assistants
Lunch provided
David Norman will speak at 4:30. Parents and other guests are welcome to join for his presentation and the pizza dinner afterwards.
Pizza dinner 5:15-6 - with parents where the kids will perform a song and share what they have done and learned
Attendance limited to 50. Pre-registration by June 11.
